Bible Verses for Grief

When we are faced with the loss of a loved one it's becomes hard to have faith. Many are ashamed to admit that their faith is tested, but it is everyone’s reaction during tragedy. It might not seem like it now, but our tragedy creates an opportunity to connect with our faith in a deeper way. One way we can renew our faith is by turning to God’s word. 
 
The Bible is full of scriptures that can comfort and guide us in our time of distress. When we turn towards our faith in hard times, it creates an opening for comfort and peace. Here are some scriptures that you can read to draw closer to your faith, and rely on God's comfort and peace.
 
 

Exodus 23:25

Worship the LORD your God, and His blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you.
 
Deuteronomy 32:8-9 
 
The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.
